Privacy Policy

When you appraise an item, three things leave your device:

• The photo you take or upload — sent to our AI appraisal provider to identify the item and its metals.
• Your optional note — trimmed, filtered and sent as extra context.
• Approximate location (city, region, ZIP) if you allow location access, so the appraisal uses your local posted yard prices. You can deny location and the app falls back to US averages.

The AI provider processes the request to generate the appraisal and does not use it to train models. We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Signed out: nothing is stored. The scan lives only in the page you're looking at and disappears when you close or refresh it.

Signed in with history on: each scan's photo, note, region label and appraisal result is saved to your private account so you can view it later. Only you can read it — access rules on our database and file storage restrict every row and photo to its owner.

You can turn history saving off at any time on the scan screen.

• Turn off saving so future scans are never stored.
• Delete any single scan (its photo goes with it).
• Delete all saved data at once from your dashboard.
• Deleting an account removes every scan and photo attached to it.

Deletions are immediate and permanent — there is no recovery.

Every value in this app — item identification, metal weights, scrap value, parts value and after-fee numbers — is an AI-generated estimate for guidance only. It is not an appraisal, an offer, or a promise of what any yard or buyer will pay.

Prices change daily and depend on condition, location and demand. Always confirm with your local yard before hauling. Nothing here is financial, legal or safety advice, and you are responsible for dismantling items safely and legally.

Sign-in is handled by our backend auth provider, which stores your email address and a hashed password (or your Google account identifier).

Links to eBay, Facebook Marketplace, YouTube and Google Maps open on those sites, which have their own privacy policies.

No analytics, tracking pixels or ad networks are used in this app.
